moving along

At this point we are making a bunch of little decisions although not much of it is visible right now. Last week, we did a lot of communicating w/ McCurry's cabinet shop to get the installation schedule set up. Our coordinator, Shelly, has been great with handling all of the details. The cabinets are about 90% complete and waiting in the workshop to be installed. We also picked out tile for the bathrooms and worked on getting a garage door selected and installed. Walton got us on the schedule w/ Hogan's Septic Systems to get our system in the ground and he also has Terry Echols set up to come out and do the final grading. After Terry finishes, the flat concrete guys will come back and pour the driveway & side porch.

Anthony the painter primed the walls in the areas where the cabinets will be installed and put on a first coat of paint in those areas. I am very satisfied with the colors we chose so far. It's a little dicey for me to choose paint colors - they never look the same on the walls as they do in a small area (like on a paint chip or scrap of drywall). No paint color disasters so far.

Walton's brother Tim (yes, Tim Allen..) is coming up from Florida on Wednesday to help with all of the trim inside the house. Tool Time for the Allen brothers! He took 3 days off work and will stay until Sunday. They should be able to knock most of it out in that time and maybe start on the deck. My Dad was planning to come help, but he isn't able to due to eye surgery he had last Friday. Walton and Tim will have a good time working together (if Tim doesn't freeze to death here).
