Maverick Materials delivered the drywall materials this afternoon. It looked like a LOT of sheetrock - 2 big flatbed truckloads full, plus all the buckets of mud you can see on the back of the truck in the picture below. They took out the bonus room window in order to get it upstairs w/ the hydraulic lift. We were pleased that they were very careful not to damage anything. They even draped a big cloth over the window sill so they wouldn't bang it up as they unloaded the sheets. They put the window right back in place and it looks just like it did before.
In discouraging news, the inspector did not make it out to check the insulation today. Walton talked to him late this afternoon & he said he'd be out before noon tomorrow. That's discouraging because it means that the drywall crew from Hester Drywall won't be able to start first thing in the morning even though their materials are ready to go.
In encouraging news, we are running about 7% under budget for the entire project at this point.
