happy morning!
Miss Priss slept all night! We got home from picking Walton up at the airport, he gave her a bedtime bottle @ 12:15, and she didn't wake up until 8:30 this morning. Hooray for uninterrupted sleep!

1 month old
Anslie is thinking...."So, now that I am one month old my family thinks I should start smiling at them...

It's really hard work, and I just want to sleep.

And I think I remember that my Daddy told me not to learn anything new while he was in Jamaica so he wouldn't miss out on it.

Maybe I'll practice a smiling just a little bit so I can show off when Daddy gets home Friday night...

These two sweet sisters used to be in Mommy's kindergarten class. They came to visit me and they smile all the time.

How does this look?

Look! I can do it!

At one month old, Anslie:
-weighs 8 pounds and is 20 inches long
-sleeps for about 4 hours at a stretch at night and goes right back to sleep after her bottle
-drinks 3 oz. of formula every 3 hours during the day
-likes to be rocked in the rocking chair
-enjoys her nightly bath

October 19
Today is Peta-gay's 5th birthday. Walton is in Jamaica building, and he got to spend time with her yesterday. I only got to talk to him for a few minutes, but he said she was doing well. Please pray for her to have a special day and that she'll know how much Jesus loves her.
Here at home, we had our first frost of the season overnight. It is beautiful with the sun sparkling on the grass. Also, Miss Anslie will be one month old on Thursday. We will take some "birthday" pictures and share them. I am very curious to see how much she's grown when we go for her 1 month check-up. She is still wearing newborn clothes - the 0-3 month things are much too big for her. She is staying awake and alert for longer stretches of time, and focuses on our faces when we talk to her. No smiles yet, though! Maybe she is waiting for Walton to get home and he'll get her first real smile. He told me not to let her learn anything new while he was gone - ha!

almost 3 weeks old
In about 3 short weeks, Anslie has gone from this:

to this:

No wonder she sleeps so much -she is growing and changing very quickly! I predict that she will be smiling at us by the end of this week. (All 4 of us are acting like crazy folk cooing and talking to her trying to get that first real smile!)
This week, Will gave Anslie a bottle for his first time. He even got her to burp - which was the best part for this 12 year old boy.

And Kyle introduced her to College GameDay on ESPN on Saturday morning. He keeps whispering in her ear that she's going to be a Bulldogs fan, but Walton and Will have other plans for her. I think that she'll be too busy shopping with me to worry about football!
