Adopted

Our neighbor from our Pine Tree days, Marissa, posted 2 great video links on her blog today. I asked her if she minded if I reposted the links here, and she quickly gave her consent. Anyone who knows me knows that I enjoy Third Day's music, but I'm also a big fan of the way they live out their faith. In the first video, Third Day's lead singer & his wife tell their adoption story. (They have adopted a second baby since the clip was filmed.) The facts about the American church & children in need of adoptive homes that the host at the end of the video interview quotes are stunning. If you've ever thought that adoption might be something your family is called to do, I encourage you to take a step of faith & see what God has in store for you. The Powells articulate so many of the thoughts & feelings that we've had since adopting Anslie. It is a privilege & a blessing to get to raise her as part of our family, but even more so to teach her that God has chosen her as part of His family!
