Kyle broke the house. He is also good at making noise and eating. We love him a lot.

Spring Strawberries at Southern Belle Farm

Whew!  So much for keeping the blog updated.  Last week was packed!  Our schedule included 2 band concerts, a kindergarten field trip, kindergarten field day, kindergarten graduation, and Kyle's band banquet (at which he was named the brass section rookie of the year - go Kyle!)  I had no time for blogging.  BUT - the Saturday before the busiest week ever, we enjoyed a family trip to Southern Belle Farm to pick strawberries.  Our friend Jennifer and her husband Jake run the farm with their extended family.  It is a great place for a family outing or school field trip.

The boys did most of the picking for us and it didn't take them too long to fill the bucket.

Handsome Kyle is *almost* taller than me now.  Sigh.
And the always-smiling Will is not too far behind him.

Walton took a big bite of a strawberry and let then Anslie have a little taste of the juice.

Her reaction:

not a fan of the strawberries yet.

But she was a fan of watching the animals and hanging out with her brothers in the sunshine.

Thanks Carter family for growing such beautiful berries.  We look forward to coming back later in the summer to pick blueberries and blackberries!

Good to know

Anslie's ears do not have fluid in them and she doesn't have strep throat. She is perfectly healthy. I know this because we are at the urgent care and I just made a total new Mom mistake despite 15 years of experience. She has been tugging at her ears and not enthusiastic about her bottle for the past 24 hours, so I brought her in to have her ears checked. The diagnosis: teething pain. Boy, am I thankful for good health insurance that covers visits for non-issues. Aha!

See - here is evidence - she is pulling her ear again just now! Can't wait to get home and see what Walton and the boys have come up with for dinner. :)
