Monday's update

Today, the concrete guys prepared the basement floor for the slab w/ gravel and rebar. Then the termite guy came and did the pre-treatment over the gravel. He told Walton it would last for about 18 years. I guess after that the termites can start gnawing away...


I was going to go over and take some pictures of this step in the process, but it's almost 8 p.m. and I still need to pack lunch boxes for school/work tomorrow.

We are on the list for the inspector come by tomorrow to check the work that's been done so far to prepare for the slab, and the concrete truck & pumper are scheduled for Wednesday.

Walton went to Williams Brothers Lumber today to order all of the framing materials. They started manufacturing our trusses today and will deliver the lumber next week. We are on the framing crew's schedule. Hooray!
