Walton continues to stay in touch with Pastor Binnie for news on how Leah/Peta-gay is doing. He says that she is enjoying school and that they're glad to have her. She is a sweet and easy child.

home study
Yesterday we met with our home study caseworker for about 3 hours. She was very helpful, experienced, and full of good information to help our process proceed smoothly. We chose her on the recommendation of a friend, and were amazed at how God provided just the right person for us. She has written home studies for Jamaican adoptions very recently so she's familiar with their requirements, she grew up in IL like me and is a fellow ISU alumni. We were also impressed w/ her efficiency - as long as we do all of our paperwork in a timely manner, she will issue our completed home study to us in time for Walton to take it in person to the CDA in Jamaica when he travels there in February. The caseworker in Jamaica tell us it will take about 6 months to process everything once we turn in all of our paperwork there. We will be fingerprinted for our criminal background check and have a meeting scheduled with our social worker for our individual interviews on Tuesday, and she will come here for our home visit on Thursday.
