stacked stone - finally corrected

The stacked stone guys finally came back and fixed the mistakes they made last month. Their boss stayed with them all day to make sure it was done right. (Yes, the one I insulted on the phone.) They also put the stone on the retaining wall and it looks terrific. Walton had them leave us enough stone for the fireplace, but we will get someone else to install it. (They have not earned our trust to do the more careful interior work....)




Leonard and his tile guys came back and worked on the slate all day. They put in most of the time-consuming cut pieces around the doors and inside the closets today. All they have left to do tomorrow is the utility room, and it is mostly straight pieces w/ no cuts. I had to go pick up more tile for them tonight because there were a lot of broken, unusable pieces in the original batch we bought.



Walton is still working at the house right now. It's 10 p.m. He was putting the faucet for the clawfoot tub in the wall when the boys and I left.
