Kyle grabbed our camera while he was playing with Anslie and snapped some fun shots.  I love his perspective and her different expressions.

8 months

Anslie turned 8 months old on the 22nd.  We took her pictures on the 22nd, but the last week of school kept us on the go so much that I didn't have a chance to sit down and blog her "month birthday".  I finished my school year yesterday (hooray!), so my time is my own and I look forward to having more time to write about our family activities through the summer.  All 3 of our kids are growing so fast.  This one in particular seems like she learns something new every day:

She weighs just over 15 pounds now and is eating all sorts of baby food.  She prefers fruit and cereal but absolutely hates green vegetables.  She still takes 4 bottles a day.  

She is becoming more mobile.  She will scoot in a circle in a sitting position on the floor and tries to pull herself up on someone's arm if they are sitting down next to her.  She leans waaaaaay forward to reach toys in front of her and will support her weight with her arms, so crawling can't be too far behind. 

No teeth have appeared yet - just lots of drool!  She babbles a lot - her vocabulary includes Mama, Dada, Bubba, num-num, and quack-quack (which she says as soon as she sees her rubber ducky as we walk into the bathroom for her nightly bath). 

It is so easy to take her places.  She is content wherever we go (as long as she's with one of us - she is not crazy about new people right now) and happily takes it all in.  It is such a gift to spend our days with this sweet girl. 

For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.
